Conan O’Brien an American Television Host and Comedian To Join TBS>>Hot Photo Picture

Conan O’Brien who was till recently in talks with Fox television for a suitable new show has decided to join TBS, a part of the Time Warner Brother Inc.

In a surprise announcement TBS informed that Conan would be doing a one hour new show to be aired from 11 p.m. from November.

It is understood that Conan’s earlier request to Fox to own the show has been accepted by TBS while his salary will be comparable to what he was earning in “Tonight Show”.

"In three months I've gone from network television to Twitter to performing live in theaters, and now I'm headed to basic cable," O'Brien said. "My plan is working perfectly." The announcement also coincided with O’Brien’s two months comedy tour in Eugene, Ore.

Conan has been the comedic voice for a generation. TBS already has a huge audience of young comedy lovers, and Conan's show will give these fans even more reasons to watch our network," Steve Koonin, president of Turner Entertainment Networks, said in a statement. George Lopez’s comedy show “Lopez Tonight” will be preceded by Conan’s show while “Lopez Tonight” will shift to a midnight slot.
