Rossa pulls out of Anggun concert

Pop singer Rossa has announced she has pulled out of her involvement in a concert with internationally renowned diva Anggun C. Sasmi next month.

“I had to [cancel] because after checking my schedule, it turned out that I already had a tour contract with [cigarette brand] Clas Mild,” Rossa says, adding, “I can’t cancel that one.”

The 30-year-old brushed off speculation that she had some kind of personal disagreement with Anggun.

“No, that’s not true at all,” Rossa says. “Nothing has happened between me and her. It was just a misunderstanding and it has already been solved.”

Rossa had previously confirmed that she would perform alongside Anggun at her concert at the Hard Rock Hotel in Denpasar, Bali, on Aug. 8.

Other Indonesian singers — Ello, Bunga Citra Lestari, Pingkan Mambo and Glenn Fredly — are also scheduled to share the stage with Anggun during the latter’s five-city concert tour in August and October.

The concert promoter has not yet announced who will take Rossa’s place. JP-The Jakarta Post
