Lee Ha-Nui (Hangul : 이하늬,[1] born March 2, 1983) is a Korean Graduate student and gayageum player who represented her country at the Miss Universe 2007 pageant in Mexico City.
Honey is the youngest of two daughters. Her father is a high-ranking official with the National Intelligence Service while her mother is a professor at Ewha Womans University and was in March designated a“living cultural asset" in the field of gayageum (Korean zither) music.
Miss Korea 2006
Lee competed in the 50th Miss Korea pageant, wherein she won. She graduated from the Seoul National University, with honors, after taking up Korean traditional music. She is currently a graduate student in the same university.[3]
Lee finished in the top 5 as 3rd runner-up.
Trivia
* Lee plays the gayageum, a Korean zither-like musical instrument.
* Lee has always wanted to be engaged in missionary work, which she emphasized in her answer to her final question.
* Lee ended Korea's nineteen-year drought, which was 1988. Coincidentally, both delegates made it into the Top 5, with only the previous placer, Yunchung Chong, winning 1st runner-up
* For all the contestant's entrance (in the Miss Universe 2007) wearing their national costumes, Lee wore the female hanbok (the national costume of her country) reminiscent of the style of the recent 2006 KBS drama Hwang Jin-i. She was also carrying a janggu with her when she wore her costume.
* She also holds a 3rd degree black belt in Taekwondo, is a scuba diver, and a competitive skier.
* Was named by www.globalbeauties.com as "Face of the Universe"[4], "Best National Costume"[5], "GB Ms Universe 2007"[6], "Best in Interview"[7], and "Best in Evening Gown"[8]
* The judge that asked Honey's question, James Kyson Lee is also Korean
* She is currently involved in volunteer work for UNICEF, Compassion and World Vision.
* Lee, along with Venezuela, was one of the top favorites to[9] win the Miss Universe crown and came close as third runner up.
* When she was asked what superpower would she wish to possess, she answered that she would wish for a wallet that never runs out of money in order to support her desire to participate in missionary work.[10]
