Star Peter Steele One of Personnel Type O Negative Band Dead At 48

The multi-talented star from the musical band Type O Negative, Peter Steele passed away. Steele, famous for his deep voice was 48. Steele was also a song writer and a bassist, which helped his band grow leaps and bounds.

Peter’s brand manager Mike Renault confirmed the news saying, “Peter passed away last night. As of now it appears to have been heart failure. That’s all the details we have right now.” According to the grapevine, the musical artiste was ill in the last days.

The news of Peter Steele’s death was not believed to be true initially as he played a prank of a similar nature in the year 2005. Peter reportedly posted his pictures with tag lines of his life years "1965-2005" on the official website of his band. Steele later disappeared from the scene following his addiction of drugs and imprisonment.

But now as the news is officially confirmed, the message board of the band’s website carried the message, ‘Please play nice and expect statements from the band and family later today. Thank you for your understanding and support.’

It is worth mentioning here that it was unexpected from "Type O Negative" to join the mainstream but they did it successfully with their third album Bloody Kisses. This album was released in 1990’s by Roadrunner Records and went on to become platinum.

Along with Type O Negative, Steele also performed for a group called Carnivore. He posed for Playgirl magazine and even appeared on the Jerry Springer show in an episode which was dedicated to groupies.
