Robert De Niro “Taxi Driver” Hoping Could Be Again

Los Angeles - Robert De Niro's acting career skyrocketed immediately after the play as Travis Bickle in the film directed by Martin Scorsese, 'Taxi Driver' in 1976 ago. Now, De Niro was hoping to work on the connection 'Taxi Driver'.

As quoted by Contact Music, Friday (16/4/2010), De Niro, who is now 66-year-old has expressed his desire to Scorsese and his screenwriter, Paul Schrader. He also admitted receives positive from both.

"I've talked with Marty and Paul. We talked about what would happen with Travis in the following years," says Oscar-winning actor.

However, until now, Paul Schrader has not been able to find the right story for the continuation of 'Taxi Driver'. Still, De Niro convinced that this one would wish come true.

Do not deny anymore, 'Taxi Driver' was one of the best films ever released in the world. The film earned four nominations at the Academy Awards and be able to reap revenues of up to U.S. $ 28 million, the figure was fantastic in it’s day. By Time magazine, the film also stars Jodie Foster came in the ranks of the Best 100 Films of all time.
